INTELSAT DONATES KID-FRIENDLY FOOD BAGS TO ASSISTANCE LEAGUE OF NORTHERN VIRGINIA'S WEEKEND FOOD FOR KIDS PROGRAM
Community Outreach - Volunteers from Intelsat offices around the world are "giving back globally on a local basis."
Assistance League® of Northern Virginia would like to recognize Intelsat’s contribution to our WEEKEND FOOD FOR KIDS program. Volunteers from Intelsat offices around the world are “giving back globally on a local basis.” Through its hands-on volunteer program, Intelsat employees in McLean, Virginia packaged 150 bags of kid-friendly food items and donated the bags to our Weekend Food for Kids program which delivers food to 1500 children in need each month during the school year.
We are grateful for Intelsat’s offer to donate an additional 300 bags of food to our program over the next two months. Our VP Philanthropy worked with Sharyn Nerenberg at Intelsat to ensure that the food bag donations would fit seamlessly into our program. Thank you, Team Intelsat, for your generous support!
Intelsat, the leading provider of satellite services worldwide, reached out to our nonprofit organization via a referral from the Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce. To learn more about our philanthropic programs, contact Jeanne Sclater: Jeanne.sclater@verizon.net.
