Intoxicated Vienna Man Charged With Hit-and-Run
An intoxicated Vienna man hit a car and the brick sign at the Madison High School entrance and more in the weekly crime report.

VIENNA, VA -- A Vienna man was arrested and charged for a hit and run near the entrance of James Madison High School on Maple Avenue, according to the town's weekly crime report.
Around 7:33 a.m. on Sunday, May 7, officers responded to the accident on Maple Avenue. The 32-year-old suspect was exiting the McDonald's parking lot when he struck another car. He then ran off the road and struck the Madison High School sign at the entrance of the school.
The driver of the second vehicle was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled on foot, and police arrested him after a short chase. According to police, the suspect showed signs of impairment and was uncooperative, refusing field sobriety tests.
After being treated for injuries at a medical facility, the suspect was sent to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He was charged with charged with a third offenses of driving while intoxicated and refusal, as well as felony hit-and-run and driving on a revoked license. He was held on an $8,000 secured bond.

On May 4 two women who live in an apartment advised the apartment security officer of a man looking in their window. The two women observed the man again on this date and alerted the security officer again who followed the man to the 7-11 at 8616 Park Street where our officers located him.
The women did not wish to pursue charges but were advised of the warrant process should they
change their minds.

May 6 10:24 p.m.
A resident, who has had several recent issues with juveniles harassing his daughter, heard a vehicle outside his house. When he opened the door he observed one of the juveniles at his front door. The juvenile quickly ran to the waiting vehicle and left the area. The resident was advised to continue working with the Madison High School Resource Officer to help resolve this problem between his daughter and the other students.

May 5 12:38 p.m.
An employee advised a man was in the bank attempting to pass a forged check. Officers located
the man and took him into custody.
A measurable amount of marijuana was located in the man’s vehicle. The 22-year-old man from
4th Street, SE in Washington, DC was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Forgery, Uttering of a Forged Check and Possession of Marijuana.
Arrest – Domestic Assault 17-004122
Marshall Road, SW
May 7 5:30 p.m.
Officers responded to a domestic assault between a father and his son. A verbal argument
became physical and the son struck his father with a broom handle causing minor injury.
Ofc. Sterling arrested the 19-year-old man from Marshall Road, SW in Vienna. The man was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Domestic Assault and an Emergency Protective Order was issued.

A citizen reported she was in the restaurant watching the hockey game when one of the male
employees pulled out a pocket knife and made a statement she felt was threatening.
The woman was advised of the warrant process should she wish to pursue charges.
