Saturday May 10 –It’s the Second Week of the Farmers Market and the Parking is Fine (in the Front Lot of the Faith Baptist Church)

The Vienna Farmers Market at 301 Center Street South had its opening last weekend.  To make room for special needs and other parking as allowable we’ve moved some vendors including Crepes at the market, Mama’s Donuts and Caffe Amouri to be with our vendors. The good news is that our new front parking lot has really has been praised by market customers as easy to use and convenient.  For those reading this who haven’t been to the market this year-we invite you to return soon and try out the parking lot! The market runs from 8 am to noon on Saturdays through October 25th.

Coming to the market this weekend? What will you find? Well the return of Swiss Bakery and Everona Sheep Cheese as well as two new vendors (fingers crossed).  At the market this week produce includes parsnips, winter squash, sunchokes, apples, asian pears, asparagus, beets, cabbage, carrots, chard, kale, leeks, mushrooms of all kinds (so many varieties you’ll be stunned!), parsnips, ramps, radishes, salad greens, spring garlic and onions, strawberries and sweet potatoes PLUS chicken and duck eggs plus lots of free range and organic pork, chicken and beef, and goat and sheep cheese! Add Wonderful Garden Plants (annuals, perennials, and herbs), Hanging Flower Baskets, Floral Bouquets all perfect for Mother’s Day gifts plus world class chocolates at Savagely Good and Annette’s Amazing Granola!
