Jimi Hendrix Tribute, TLC, More At Wolf Trap: Labor Day Weekend

From a Jimi Hendrix 75th birthday show to a 90s throwback with TLC, there's plenty to keep you entertained at Wolf Trap Labor Day weekend.

VIENNA, VA—The last weekend of summer is approaching, so why not end it on a good note (pun intended) by enjoying an outdoor concert under the stars? Labor Day weekend will be the prime setting for music lovers of all kinds at Wolf Trap.

The Filene Center, one of Wolf Trap's venues with covered and lawn seating, is hosting three concerts throughout the weekend. Whether you like classic rock, R&B or new music, there's something for everyone.

Friday, Sept. 1, 8 p.m.

It just so happens that Jimi Hendrix first performed in Washington, DC in the summer of 1967—50 years ago. So Wolf Trap will close out this summer with a 75th birthday concert for the iconic musician and celebration of the historic performance Ambassador Theater 50 years ago. Performers including Fishbone, legends Ernie Isley and Nona Hendryx, and other special guests will perform pre-Jimi Hendrix Experience songs performed at the Ambassador debut and iconic favorites. Bryson Tiller: Set It Off Tour

Saturday, Sept. 2, 7:30 p.m.

Bryson Tiller is a singer, songwriter and rapper gaining traction in the R&B scene. He started making music in 2011, and his first single "Don't" peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100. His second album True to Self debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Last year, he won Best New Artist and Best Male R&B/Pop Artist at the BET Awards. Tickets are $35-$65.

I Love The 90's: The Party Continues Tour

Sunday, Sept. 3, 7 p.m.

The 90s generation will get nostalgic with this star-studded lineup. Performers like TLC, Kid N Play, Montell Jordan, Rob Base, C&C Music Factory and Snap will bring you back to the 90s with classic favorites like "Waterfalls," "This Is How We Do It" and "Rhythm Is A Dancer." So break out your retro leggings or MC Hammer pants and join this can't-miss dance party. Tickets are $45-$87.
