Just You Wait! ‘My Fair Lady’ Takes Stage in Vienna

VIENNA, VA — The Vienna Theater Company’s spring production of “My Fair Lady” will open on April 17 at the Vienna Community Center.

Evening performances will be held on Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. from April 17 through May 2. There will be three matinee performances at 2 p.m. on April 19 and 26 and May 3. Tickets are $18 and can be purchased online or at the community center.

The show, with a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, premiered on Broadway in 1956, and a movie adaptation was produced in 1964. Both were critically praised and commercially successful. Since then, audiences around the world have regularly flocked to interpretations of the unlikely bond developed by a flower seller and a stern professor.

The Vienna Theater Company is a non-profit performing arts company and has produced shows for Vienna and the surrounding areas for decades. Recent past shows include Neil Simon’s “Rumours” in 2025, “On Golden Pond” by Ernest Thompson in 2023 and Arthur Miller’s “Death of a Salesman” in 2022, among many others.
