K9 Bites Tysons Corner Shoplifter In Chaotic Chase: Police

A K9 bit one of the shoplifters when they tried to escape with over $2,700 in items from Tysons Corner Center.

TYSONS, VA—Three shoplifters are facing charges after trying to escape with more than $2,700 in stolen items from Tysons Corner Center Tuesday.

Around 8:55 p.m., officers spotted the three accused shoplifters hiding stolen clothing in a bag and leaving the store without paying. When police tried to stop them, one of the woman used pepper spray to escape.

Although they were able to run away, police arrested two woman while a man escaped. He was stopped when a K9 joined the chase and bit him.

Antonio Douglas, 28, who was bitten, went to the hospital for minor dog bite injuries. He was charged with charged with robbery, grand larceny, larceny with the intent to distribute, resisting arrest, and possession of marijuana.

The other two, Kimberly Stinson, 45, and Shantelia Dixon, 34, were each charged with robbery, grand larceny, and larceny with the intent to distribute. All three are from Baltimore.
