Longstanding Vienna Inn Gears Up For 64th Anniversary

VIENNA, VA — Much has changed in Vienna since 1960, but the Vienna Inn remains a mainstay for chili dogs and neighborly camaraderie. In February, the restaurant will celebrate its 64th anniversary with special events and promotions.

Vienna Inn's 64th Anniversary celebration will be a month-long observance with special menu offerings, kids nights, community fundraisers with Mayor Linda Colbert and other guests, contests, giveaways and more.

"We are excited to celebrate 64 years of serving our community and being a gathering place for friends and families," said Marty Volk, who bought the Vienna Inn 24 years ago from the original owners, the Abraham family. "Vienna Inn has become a timeless institution, and we owe it all to our loyal customers and team."

To many, Vienna Inn — also known as The Inn — is synonymous with cheat eats, cold beer and a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant's support for local teams is evident in its trophies and memorabilia from local sports teams on the walls. Vienna Inn also has a few known traditions: customers pay on an honor system and the non-alcoholic drinks are self-serve.

"We have a lot of people stop in when they come through town, so you never know who you might run into," said Volk. "The traditions run through generations."

Activities planned for the 64th anniversary are community fundraisers to support Freedom’s Fund, special guests behind Vienna Inn's dog stand like Mayor Linda Colbert, customer contests on social media, and food and drink specials throughout the month. For younger guests, there will be themed kids nights with a new kids menu, contests and entertainment, including a night for Swifties and sports fans.
