Grand Larceny 15-009799 600 Block Plum Street, SW Between July 01 at 12:01 a.m. and October 08 at 11:17 a.m. A resident reported that over the past several months, several items to include money and jewelry had gone missing from her residence.

Fraud 15-009721 500 Block Druid Hill Road, NE September 15 9:00 a.m. A resident reported someone, using her personal information, contacted her bank and was able to withdraw an undisclosed amount of money from her account.

Vehicle Tampering 15-009554 200 Block Elmar Drive, SE Between October 01 at 5:00 p.m. and October 02 at 8:10 a.m. A resident reported someone entered her vehicle and removed an interior door panel. She stated nothing appeared to have been taken.
Grand Larceny 15-009715 Dominion Power Electrical Plant 405 Center Street, North Between October 01 at 5:00 p.m. and October 06 at 8:00 a.m. An employee reported someone entered the electrical plant and had taken several spools of copper wire.
This case is being investigated.
Noise Complaint 15-009572 Bey Lounge 303 Mill Street, NE October 03 12:18 a.m. Officer Post responded to the Bey Lounge after receiving a complaint of loud music emanating from the business. She spoke with an employee who informed her he would turn the music down.
Natural Death 15-009594 400 Block Holmes Drive, NW October 03 2:00 a.m. The relative of an elderly resident found her Aunt deceased in her bed.
A detective will follow up with this case.
Arrest – Driving While Intoxicated 15-009588 300 Block Maple Avenue, West October 03 3:23 a.m. Officer Reedy was on patrol when he observed the driver of a vehicle commit a traffic offense. As a result of that offense he conducted a traffic stop. Upon his interaction with the driver he detected the signs of possible impairment. After failing to complete a series of field sobriety tests he arrested the 28 year old man from Vienna for Driving While Intoxicated.
The man was transported to the Vienna Police Station where he was given the opportunity to provide a sample of his breath for analysis. After the analysis he was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and held on a $2,000.00 bond.
Assist Fire/EMS 15-009603 Exxon Gas Station 395 Maple Avenue, East October 03 3:31 p.m. Officer Hylinski responded to the area to assist with traffic control while Fairfax County Fire and Rescue personnel attended to a large amount of gasoline that had spilled onto the ground.
Trespassing 15-009609 Whole Foods 143 Maple Avenue, East October 03 6:32 p.m. An employee requested a police officer trespass a female from the business. She stated the female continually enters the business and sits at the table without making any purchases.
PFC Kiley informed the woman she was no longer permitted in the business. Although she was visibly upset she agreed to leave.
Noise Violation 15-009620 Bey Lounge 303 Mill Street, NE October 04 12:11 a.m. Officer Post responded to the Bey Lounge after receiving a complaint of loud music emanating from the business. She spoke with an employee who informed her he would turn the speakers to the rear of the business off in an attempt to resolve the matter.
Residential Alarm 15-009633 600 Block McKinley Street, NE October 04 2:14 a.m. A resident reported his residential alarm had been activated. He stated when he turned the alarm off he heard a loud boom sound coming from the ground floor of the residence.
PFC Kiley and Officer Lyons searched the residence and found nothing appeared out of place and no signs of forced entry were visible.
Alcohol Violation 15-009651 Glyndon Street at Ayr Hill Avenue, NE October 04 6:20 a.m. MPO Seitz responded to the area after receiving a report of a vehicle stopped in the roadway. Upon approaching the vehicle he located the juvenile driver asleep at the wheel with the ignition off. After speaking with the driver he detected the signs of possible impairment.
MPO Seitz contacted the juvenile’s parents who responded to the area and took their son and vehicle home.
This case is being investigated.
Suspicious Event 15-009664 Maple Avenue at East Street, East October 04 7:45 a.m. A resident reported she was making a right turn from Branch Road onto Maple Avenue and passed a black mini-van that was blocking her vehicle. She stated after she entered onto Maple Avenue she believed the driver of the mini-van threw something at her vehicle.
Officer Hylinski inspected her vehicle and found no damage.
Found Property 15-009668 Church Street at Mill Street, NE October 04 5:45 p.m. An attendee of the Octoberfest Celebration turned in an iPhone she found at the event.
The iPhone will be held at the Vienna Police Station in the event the owner is identified.
Destruction of Property 15-009692 200 Block Pleasant Street, SW Between October 04 at 8:00 p.m. and October 05 at 11:00 a.m. A resident reported her mailbox had been knocked from its post.
Lost Property 15-009697 500 Block Valley Drive, SE October 05 5:56 p.m. A resident reported while walking to a pharmacy she lost her prescription.
Arrest – Driving While Intoxicated/Possession of Marijuana 15-009703 Park Street at Locust Street, SE October 05 10:50 p.m. MPO Smith was on patrol when he observed the driver of a vehicle commit a traffic offense. As a result of that offense he conducted a traffic stop. Upon his interaction with the driver he detected the signs of possible impairment. After failing to complete a series of field sobriety tests he arrested the 52 year old man from Tapawingo Road, SW in Vienna for Driving While Intoxicated. While preparing his vehicle to be towed for safe keeping he located a measurable amount of marijuana.
The man was transported to the Vienna Police Station where he was given the opportunity to provide a sample of his breath for analysis. After the analysis he was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of Marijuana.
Arrest – Alcohol Violation 15-009707 Kingsley Road at Ware Street, SW October 06 1:27 a.m. Officer Herrera was on patrol when he observed the occupant of a vehicle drinking what appeared to be an alcoholic beverage. As a result of that activity he conducted a traffic stop. After speaking with the passenger he discovered an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.
The 28 year old man from Valentino Drive in Oakton, Virginia was issued a summons for Possession of an Open Container in a Vehicle and released.
Open Door 15-009708 Marco Polo Restaurant 245 Maple Avenue, West October 06 3:02 a.m. Officer Herrera was in the area conducting a business check when he discovered an unsecured door to the business. The inside of the building was checked and although signs of squatting were evident, entry into the restaurant had not occurred.
Narcotics Violation 15-009724 Cedar Lane School 101 Cedar Lane, SW October 06 12:32 p.m.
An employee reported a student had been found outside the school smoking using a Vaporizing Pen. The student was taken inside the school and was found to be in possession of marijuana.
This case is being investigated.
Suspicious Event 15-009744 200 Block Cedar Lane, SE Between October 06 at 8:00 p.m. and October 07 at 8:20 a.m. A resident returned to her vehicle to find feces had been smeared on the door handle.
Arrest – Narcotics Violation 15-009738 Locust Street at Glyndon Street, SE October 06 11:18 p.m. Officer Herrera was on patrol in the area when he observed the occupants of two vehicles exhibiting suspicious behavior. Officer Herrera approached the vehicles and after speaking with the occupants he located a measurable amount of marijuana.
Officer Herrera issued a 20 year old man from Park Terrace Court, SE in Vienna a summons for Possession of Marijuana. He was released after signing the summons.
Animal Case – Quarantine 15-009754 The Hope Center 140 Park Street, SE October 07 6:00 a.m.
An employee reported a 10 year old cat named “Angelo” was taken to the Hope Center by its owner after becoming very ill. The employee stated that while Angelo was being transported he bit his owner.
Due to his poor health, Angelo was euthanized. ACO Barker transported him to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter where he was to be tested for Rabies.
Arrest – Drunk in Public 15-009782 500 Block Kingsley Road, SW October 08 1:09 a.m. A resident stated an unknown male was on his front porch, knocking on his door. Officer Post responded and found the man still on the porch. After speaking to him she determined he was intoxicated.
The 33 year old man from Hartfield Avenue in Suitland, Maryland was arrested for Drunk in Public and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was to be held until he was sober.
Domestic Dispute 15-009810 Lynn Street, SW October 08 3:58 p.m. A resident reported he and his son had been involved in a heated argument that culminated when the son punched a hole in a wall. Although the wall was damaged no physical altercation had occurred.
