Love Music? Join the Washington Balalaika Society Orchestra

The Washington Balalaika Society Orchestra is an amateur orchestra of the local community and is seeking additional members.

The Washington Balalaika Society Orchestra has been a fixture of the Washington area cultural scene since 1988. It performs the music of Russia, Ukraine, Eastern Europe and beyond, on authentic folk instruments.

We are seeking musicians (or those wanting to learn) on the balalaika, domra, bayan/accordion, and some orchestral wind and percussion instruments. Music is provided, and authentic Russian instruments are available to borrow. If you know how to play a string instrument, such as mandolin, violin, or guitar, it will be easy to pick up a Russian folk instrument.

Rehearsals are every Wednesday 7:30-9:30 pm at the Rock Spring Congregational Church, 5010 Little Falls Road, Arlington, VA
