Madison Girls' Lacrosse Falls to Langley, Dominates Hayfield

Madison faced a tough Langley squad on April 26 at home, losing 10-14 despite a strong second half. Leading the Warhawk offense was Carly Rogers with 3 goals, followed by Zoe Dyer and Ashley Go (2 each) and Caroline Turner (1). Goalie Ellie Socher had 4 saves. Later in the week, the Warhawks traveled to Hayfield Secondary School and handed the Hawks a 20-4 defeat. Madison’s deep bench proved too strong for Hayfield, whose defense allowed goals by 11 Warhawk players. Annabelle Bentley had 5 goals, and Shannon Condon scored 4 times, including once off her own draw control. Also contributing to the Warhawk tally were Andie Battin, Ashley Go, Carly Rogers (2 each), Bailey Brummer, Grace Knicely, Diana Lowther, Grace McDonough, McKenna Nolan, and Caroline Turner (1 each). Go, McDonough, Rogers, Caroline Kurtz and Anya Saponja provided assists. Socher had 2 saves in the first half; Saponja played in goal in the second. Madison begins Conference playoffs on May 5.
