Man Flees After Skimping Cab Driver In Vienna: Police
The man fled from the cab after getting a ride from Alexandria.

VIENNA, VA—Police say a man fled from a cab after failing to pay his fare in Vienna Monday, Oct. 8.
It was around 12:20 a.m. when the incident happened in the 1100 Block Kings Way Court SW. The man unsuccessfully tried to pay for his fare with a credit card after getting a ride from a Metro station in Alexandria.
Afterward, he fled down Marshall Road. Police caught him on Rachel Lane.

The man, who police only identified as a 39-year-old from Vienna, was arrested and charged with defrauding a cab driver and drunk in public. He was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

October 4 between 10:49 a.m. and 12:41 p.m.
A citizen reported her wallet was stolen while she was shopping. Her bank notified her that her
credit cards were later used at Tysons Corner Center.
Wolftrap Hotel
430 Maple Avenue, West
October 4 12:00 p.m.
On October 7, a woman came to the police station to report that her daughter had assaulted her a
few days before, while they were staying at the hotel. She advised that she is worried that their
verbal dispute may escalate again. The woman did not wish to pursue charges. Both parties agreed
to get separate rooms at the hotel.
Council Drive, NE
October 5 12:10 a.m.
Officers responded to a residence for an open 911 phone line. The husband and wife both advised
they were arguing when the situation escalated and became a physical assault. The husband dialed
911 during the assault, and the wife grabbed the phone and threw it into the yard, preventing him
from summoning the police. The officers observed that the husband suffered minor injuries during
the assault.
Ofc. Colligan arrested the 46-year-old woman from Council Drive, NE in Vienna. She was
transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where she was charged with Domestic
Assault and Preventing Another from Calling for Help.
The Bey Lounge
303 Mill Street, NE
October 6 1:05 a.m.
A resident reported loud music coming from The Bey Lounge. An officer responded to the
residence but did not observe any noise violation. Although no violations were noted, the officer
spoke to an employee at The Bey Lounge to advise him of the complaint, and the employee agreed
to turn the music down.
600 Block Orrin Street, SE
October 9 between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
A resident received a call from a telemarketer. Once she realized the call was a scam the
resident hung up on the caller. The caller continued to make several more calls to the resident,
using profanity and making threats toward her.
