Maple Avenue Closures Planned For Vienna Halloween Parade, Work

VIENNA, VA — Vienna commuters should expect lane closures on the town's busiest road over the next several days.

From 9 p.m. on Oct. 22 through 6 a.m. on Oct. 23, both westbound lanes of Maple Avenue will be closed between Center Street and Lawyers Road. Crews will be conducting water and sewer maintenance. Westbound traffic will run through the center turn lane.

On Oct. 23 and 24, expect temporary lane closures and detours at Maple Avenue and Lawyers Road as well as Maple Avenue and Beulah Road. Crews will be cleaning up spilled asphalt at sidewalks and intersections. Work hours will be between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The Vienna Halloween Parade will require closure of Maple Avenue for hours on Oct. 23. Police will close Maple Avenue between East Street and Lawyers Road from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Surrounding blocks and detours will be in effect from 4:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. See a map of road closures and detour routes here.
