Marching Statesmen Win U.S. Bands Regional Competition

The Marching Statesmen of George C. Marshall High School dominated the first competition of the season on Saturday, September 24. Their "Haunted" show took not only first place, but also Best Music, Best Overall Effect, and Best Visual in Group V Open (groups are determined by number of performers) in the U.S. Bands Northern Virginia Regional Competition held at Herndon High School. All this, while wearing band t-shirts instead of uniforms! The band is still fundraising for new uniforms.
