Massive Sinkhole Caused By Water Main Break In Fairfax
Cars could fit inside this huge sinkhole, which opened up Friday morning in the middle of a Fairfax Street.

FAIRFAX, VA—A massive sinkhole opened up as a result of a water main break in Fairfax Friday morning.
Fairfax County Police say the sink hole appeared in the 4500 block of Twinbrook Road. Fairfax Water is on scene repairing the water main break and sinkhole.
The sinkhole comes in around 100 feet long and 25 feet wide along the street, WJLA reported. Witnesses told the news station the hole appeared small at 3 a.m. and grew over the hours.

Residents in the area will likely be without water for much of the day as crews make the repairs. Traffic delays could continue into Saturday.
