Matan Cos. Renovating Tysons Building to be More Pedestrian Friendly

The renovation will cost between $5-6 million and includes a number of new amenities aimed at capitalizing on the new foot traffic in town.

Commercial real estate firm Matan Cos. announced this week it has closed on a loan that will fund a major renovation to its 143,000-square-foot building at 1750 Old Meadow Road in Tysons Corner, according to the Washington Business Journal.

The renovation will cost somewhere between $5-6 million, and when completed will be rebranded as 1750 Tysons East.

The updates to the building include a new lobby, interior and exterior common areas, a deli, a fitness center and a new conference center.

The renovation is meant to capitalize on the building’s walkability to the new nearby Metrorail Silver Line stop, which is bringing more foot traffic to the Tysons area. The renovation will make the building more “pedestrian friendly,” said the Business Journal.
