Medical Emergency Causes Fatal Crash Near Vienna (ICYMI)
No other cars were involved in the fatal crash near Vienna caused by the woman's medical emergency. ICYMI

VIENNA, VA—An elderly woman is dead after a crash on Leesburg Pike in Tysons Monday, Sept. 18.
Police say the 75-year-old woman was having a medical emergency when the crash happened around 6:15 a.m. Her car was traveling east on Leesburg Pike near Dulles Toll Road when it crossed over the median into the westbound lanes and hit a guardrail.
The driver, Shirley Lee Corum, of Sterling, was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. No other cars were involved in the accident.

Detectives from the Crash Reconstruction Unit continue to investigate the accident. Anyone with information about the accident should call the CRU at 703-280-0543, Fairfax County Police at 703-691-2131 or submit a tip online through Crime Solvers.
