Merritt Academy announces Youth Education Scholarship

Private School scholarship opportunity for middle school students in Fairfax

Families looking for an educational experience that will inspire, challenge, and nurture while helping prepare their child for life are invited to apply to a special scholarship program sponsored by Merritt Academy in Fairfax.

Founded in 1963 to help children realize their unlimited potential, Merritt Academy now proudly offers the Youth Education Scholarship (YES) program. Merritt encourages qualified new students to apply for a select number of need-based scholarships to help families put children on track for a successful future.

Students with the grades and passion to thrive in a learning community centered on academic excellence, collaboration, project-based learning and character education, are encouraged to apply. Prospective rising 5th and 6th grade students should submit their applications by August 7th. Full and partial scholarships are still available depending upon demonstrated need and scholarly potential.

Accredited by the Virginia Independent School Association, Merritt Academy serves children from early childhood through 8th grade. Every Merritt student benefits from a unique intergenerational education program with senior residents who reside on the school campus.
