Missing Elderly Woman Found Outside In 8-Degree Weather
Police found an elderly woman lying outside in Fairfax as temperatures plummeted below 10 degrees.

FAIRFAX, VA—Reports of missing people can be even scarier as icy cold temperatures grip the region. But one more elderly resident is safe thanks to Fairfax County Police's efforts to track her down Wednesday.
The 79-year-old woman had been reported missing before police found her around 6:30 a.m. She had been lying on the cold ground around Plaza and Pressmont Lanes, a residential area not far from the Greenbriar shopping center.
The sun hadn't yet come up and temperatures had dropped to eight degrees when she was rescued. Police wrapped her in their jackets and kept her in a warm car until an ambulance arrived.
