Mosaic District and Jammin' Java Partnering to Host Free Weekend Concerts

The concerts will take place Saturday night and Sunday morning on the green space along District Avenue near Avalon apartments.

This weekend, June 27 and 28, the Mosaic District, in partnership with Jammin’ Java, is hosting a free concert weekend on the green space along District Avenue near the Avalon apartments.

The concerts will kick off Friday night with performances by Brain Stew, a popular Green Day cover band, as well as Good Time Boys, a Red Hot Chili Peppers cover band.

Festivities will begin at 5 p.m. with food and drink provided by various Mosaic partners, including DGS and Sisters Thai. Brain Stew will begin its set at 6 p.m. and Good Time Boys will take the stage at 7 p.m.

Sunday morning’s concerts are definitely worth bringing the entire family to see. Festivities will resume at 11 a.m., and popular local children’s band Rocknoceros will take the stage at 11:30 a.m.

Another popular children’s band, Rainbow Rock, will follow Rocknoceros and will perform until 1:30 p.m.
