Nearly Unconscious Vienna Driver Hits Apartment Sign
A driver was nearing unconsciousness when he veered off the road and hit an apartment sign.

VIENNA, VA—A driver having a medical emergency got into a scary accident Tuesday but luckily did not injure anyone else.
Around 11:10 a.m., the driver was traveling southbound on Park Street towards Patrick Street SE and began to have a diabetic reaction. He began to lose consciousness and veered off the road, over the curb and struck the Vienna Park Apartments sign.
The car wet back onto the road and stopped at the intersection of Patrick Street and Park Street. Medical rescue personnel came and determined the driver had low blood sugar.

He was treated on scene and taken to the hospital while the vehicle got towed.

A citizen reported that a collection agency contacted him in reference to a large unpaid balance
on a credit card account. Someone opened a credit card account using his personal information
without his knowledge or consent sometime last year.

Cottage Street, SW / Yeonas Drive, SW
September 5 5:08 p.m.
A citizen reported a motorcycle had caught fire. The fire department responded to the scene and
extinguished the fire. The driver was unharmed.
200 Block West Street, NW
September 6 between 10:30 a.m. and 3:33 p.m.
A citizen reported that someone attempted to add an authorized user to one of her credit card
accounts without her knowledge or consent.
The Wolftrap Hotel
430 Maple Avenue West
September 8 between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.
A citizen went to the Vienna Police Station to report that her boyfriend had assaulted her earlier
in the day at The Wolftrap Hotel. The victim and the officers went to the magistrate’s office and
obtained an arrest warrant. Officers located the man at the hotel and placed him under arrest.
The 35-year-old man from South Street in Townsend, Delaware was arrested on a felony assault
charge. The man was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where his arrest
warrant was served. The man was being held, with no bond, until he could see a judge.

Between September 9 12:01 a.m. and September 10 12:01 a.m.
A resident reported that someone was able to withdraw money from his bank account without his
knowledge or consent.

September 9 between 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
A man stole a collection jar that contained money for charity.

September 9 5:30 p.m.
A citizen reported that someone stole her wallet from her unlocked vehicle.

September 13 between 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m.
A student displayed some indecent behavior in a classroom. Police were called to investigate.
Ayr Hill Avenue NE / Center Street North
September 9 9:50 a.m.
Vehicle-1 was traveling Southbound on Center Street North. Vehicle-2 was traveling Westbound
on Ayr Hill Avenue NE. Vehicle-2 came to a stop and saw Vehicle-1 come to a stop at the stop
sign. Vehicle-2 proceeded through the intersection and was half-way through when Vehicle-1
began accelerating. Vehicle-2 was struck by Vehicle-1 on the rear right side bending the frame of
the bike along with the tire. EMS responded, but the rider of Vehicle-2 declined transport.
Vehicle-2 rider had a cut on his right calf.
