New venture will be collaboration between two Vienna powerhouses: Tim Ma of Maple Ave and Michael Amouri of Caffe Amouri.
Like meaty sandwiches you can really sink your teeth into, like corned beef on rye? You’ll love Chase the Submarine, a new restaurant coming to Vienna later this year.
The new eatery involves two well-known names in Vienna business circles: Award-winning chef Tim Ma is teaming up with local coffeehouse owner Michael Amouri to bring the new restaurant to Vienna’s dining scene, according to a report by Eater DC earlier this month and first reported by Northern Virginia magazine.

Ma is owner of the celebrated Maple Ave Restaurant in Vienna as well as Water & Wall in Arlington. Community-minded Amouri is owner of Caffe Amouri, the popular coffeehouse offering small-batch, artisan-roasted coffee.
The new restaurant is expected to be a combination butchery and sandwich shop and is named for Ma’s son Chase.
