VIENNA, VA — There's a new fine dining restaurant filling the void of the old Amphora Restaurant location in the southwest end of town — at least for dinner.

The Maple Room Restaurant & Lounge opened Sunday at 377 Maple Ave W, Vienna, VA. It is in the former location of Amphora Restaurant, which closed in early 2021 after 44 years.

The new restaurant's menu provides starters like classic French onion soup, salmon tartare, duck leg confit, and oysters Rockefeller as well as "on the rocks" options like oysters and shrimp cocktail. Charcuterie boards and salads are another option to precede the main course.
