Next Use Of Town-Purchased Building To Be Decided In Vienna
The Town of Vienna is seeking feedback on the future purpose of a building that was the temporary police station during construction.

VIENNA, VA — The Town of Vienna will look to find a new purpose for the former Faith Baptist Church property.
In fall 2020, the town purchased the property at 301 Center Street S to use as a temporary police station during the police station construction project. A long-term use for the property has not been decided.
Now that the police department moved to its new police station, the town is conducting a land feasibility and community needs assessment to determine a long-term use for the building. A study found improving the building for public recreation activities found the cost would be $1 million.

"It is important that we understand community perspectives and unmet needs as we chart the course for this site’s future," said Vienna Parks and Recreation Director Leslie Herman in a statement. "While land experts assess the site features and determine what uses are feasible, residents are encouraged to share their ideas to help inform the Town’s decision about the property in the next decade and beyond."
Residents can share feedback through a questionnaire open through May 1 or community workshop on Tuesday, March 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Vienna Police Department Community Room, 215 Center St. S.
