Caffe Amouri is a coffeehouse and roastery in Vienna, Virginia. We have been recognized as the Best Coffeehouse in Northern VA for both 2012 & 2013 by the Northern VA Magazine, as well as the Best Cup of Coffee in Northern VA, by the Connection Newspaper, and one of the Top Coffeehouses in Virginia by Virginia Living Magazine.

We are currently looking to hire BARISTA/COUNTER PEOPLE for our growing operation. Experience as a barista is great, but not required in an otherwise qualified applicant. Applicants must be available to work weekends.

We are looking for someone with a genuinely curious and outgoing nature, who is interested in learning more about coffee, from source to cup. Applicants must be self-motivated, hard-working, and take pride in the products we serve.

The mission statement of Caffe Amouri is Quality, Community, and Sustainability. We take quality very seriously, with extensive training and a staff who know the ins and outs of coffee (and our other products – tea, pastries, etc.) and can share that knowledge with our customers. Applicants must have a strong understanding of the importance of serving high-quality products in a professional and welcoming environment.

Caffe Amouri has become known as a true community spot for Vienna and surrounding areas, hosting open mic nights, game nights, charity events, and, of course, always providing a warm, welcoming environment. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of that community atmosphere and has a real desire to be part of creating it. Additionally, we’re interested in folks who understand a commitment to the environment and wish to, by practicing sustainability, leave a better planet for our children.

We are looking for someone who is interested in growing as we grow. We are a small team striving constantly to be the best at what we do – which is a constant learning process. As part of our team, you will learn both the art and science of coffee: from the best practices in brewing drip coffee, to the technicalities of pulling a perfect shot of espresso, to the intricacies of latte art, and even the nuances of coffee roasting.

Last, but of incredible importance, we are looking for someone who is committed, professional, bright, motivated, and likes to have fun while working. We want you to truly enjoy and take pride in what you’re doing – the fact that you’re hand-crafting every drink, that you’re making every customer’s day that much better, and that you’re contributing to a smooth-running, innovating, and creative operation and team.

This is not an easy job, as Caffe Amouri is a go-to destination in Vienna and surrounding areas. It takes constant diligence to maintain the high standards that we have set, and it gets very busy - you will be on your feet and moving constantly for 6-8 hours at a time. In addition to the fun aspects of making great coffee, there are the realities of making any food establishment run - washing dishes, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, mopping floors. These are part of the job description for all staff.
