Oakton Area Man Charged For Rape In Silver Spring
The man allegedly assaulted her in his car outside a bar, police say.

SILVER SPRING, MD — An Oakton area man is facing charges for raping a woman outside a bar in Silver Spring, Maryland on Aug. 24, according to Montgomery County Police.
Police investigations revealed the incident happened outside a bar in Silver Spring that evening. The victim said she had felt nauseous when the man, who had a mutual friend with her, offered to let her sleep in his car. The victim went to sleep in the car outside the bar but was awoken when the man entered and began raping her, police say.
Afterward, the man drove the car away with the victim inside and refused to let her out. She ended up exiting the vehicle in Bethesda and screamed for help. The man drove away, and nearby residents called police.

Oluwakayode Adewole Adebusuyi, 26, was identified as the suspect and arrested in Fairfax County on Aug. 31. He was charged with second-degree rape, assault, and false imprisonment. He is being held in Fairfax pending extradition to Montgomery County.
Police say Adebusuyi has recently worked for ride-share companies within the region and believes there could be other victims. Anyone who believes they are a victim or has any information, call the Montgomery County Police's Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5050.
