Pedestrian Struck By Snow Plow Truck In Vienna: Police
The pedestrian wasn't seriously hurt by the truck plowing a parking lot after last weekend's snowfall.

VIENNA, VA—As crews were clearing the snowy roads on Sunday, Jan. 13, Vienna Police say a person was struck by a snow plow truck.
Around 6:50 a.m., the pedestrian was walking across the parking lot at 359 Maple Avenue East. The pickup truck was plowing the parking lot and reportedly hit the pedestrian while backing up.
The pedestrian had minor injuries. The vehicle was not identified as a Town of Vienna plow truck.

A juvenile advised that she and her friend were in Whole Foods when they observed a man acting
suspicious and pacing behind them. They recognized the man as being the same individual they
had a suspicious encounter several weeks ago with at Dairy Queen, 304 Maple Avenue, West.

The Bey Lounge
303 Mill Street, NE
January 12 12:35 a.m.
A resident on Park Street, NE reported loud music coming from The Bey Lounge. An officer responded to the residence and The Bey Lounge but did not observe any violation of the noise ordinance.
Louise Archer Elementary School
324 Nutley Street, NW
January 12 4:45 p.m.
A citizen reported her cell phone was taken while she attended a basketball game at the school.
200 Block Ayr Hill Avenue, NE
January 12 6:00 p.m.
A citizen reported that a man entered his property, looked in the back door, then walked away. The area was searched, but no one matching the description of the man was found.
500 Block Valley Drive, SE
January 12 8:17 p.m.
A man entered the screened porch, then opened a sliding door to the residence. He advised the resident that his car had broken down and asked if he could use their phone. The resident requested the man come around to the front of the home, she then called for help. The area was searched, but officers did not locate the man.
January 13 11:00 p.m.
Vehicle-2 was legally parked unattended on Johnson Street, SW. Vehicle-1 (a Town snowplow) was southbound on Hillside Circle when the rear leg of the sand spreader punctured the driver side door of Vehicle-2.
Vienna Animal Hospital
531 Maple Avenue, West
January 14 3:26 p.m.
A citizen found a dog on Tapawingo Road and brought it to the Vienna Animal Hospital. Attempts to locate the dog’s owner were unsuccessful, and the animal was transported to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter.
Wolftrap Hotel
430 Maple Avenue, West
January 14 between 8:00 p.m. and 9:10 p.m.
A cab driver was defrauded by a customer that he picked up at the Wolftrap Hotel. After transporting the customer to various locations the man fled without paying his fare.
Crash - Park Street and Tapawingo Road, SE 19-000554
January 15 9:23 a.m.
Vehicle-1 was traveling southbound on Park Street approaching the intersection of Tapawingo Road. Vehicle-2 was traveling eastbound on Tapawingo Road, with the right of way to turn left onto Park Street. As Vehicle-2 entered the intersection, he was struck by Vehicle-1.
Driver-1 was issued a summons charging Failure to Obey a Highway Sign. Driver-1 was transported to an area hospital by rescue personnel with non-life-threatening injuries.
