Police Discover Car Break-Ins After Pursuit: Vienna Crime Report
Police investigated a number of car break-ins during the last week, most of which were in the northwest part of town.

VIENNA, VA — Vienna Police are looking into new car break-in cases over the last week. One of the instances was found after police unsuccessfully pursued a vehicle.
That incident happened on Sept. 5 around 4:11 a.m. in the 300 bock of Ayr Hill Avenue NE. An officer had approached a suspicious vehicle when a man ran from a residence and got into the back of the vehicle. The officer pursued the vehicle, which had at least three men inside. The vehicle fled the area at a high speed, according to police.
After returning to the scene, the officer found someone had rummaged through two vehicles. It was unclear if the people in the suspicious vehicle were involved.
