Police: Subway Shop Burglar Strikes Again
Police suspect same suspect in series of burglaries at area Subway shops. Latest burglary was this week in Merrifield.
Fairfax County Police say the Subway burglar has struck again.
This time, the person police suspect of burglaring 28 Subway shops hit the 29th on Monday in Merrifield. Police suspect that 15 of those burglaries took place in Fairfax County. Others have also taken place in Maryland.
Police ask the public to remain vigilant and aware as the number of burglaries of Subway restaurants has increased to 15 incidents in Fairfax County.
The most recent incident was reported at around 4 a.m., Monday, April 28 at 8558 Lee Highway in the Merrifield area. Like the other cases, someone broke the front door, entered and stole cash.

The Fairfax County burglary dates and locations are:
- Nov. 29, 2013: 6829 Elm St., McLean
- Jan 1 or 2: 6711 Spring Mall Drive, Springfield
- Feb. 13: 6216 Old Dominion Dr., McLean
- March 6 or 7: 13926 Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy., Chantilly
- March 10 or 11: 6230 Rolling Road, West Springfield
- March 11 or 12: 6991C Backlick Road
- March 17: 5810 Kingstowne Center, Kingstowne
- March 19 or 20: 6110 Rose Hill Dr., Rose Hill
- April 7: 8960 Burke Lake Road
- April 28: 8558 Lee Highway
