Resident Drops Credit Card, Becomes Fraud Victim In Vienna

The person who picked up the lost credit card didn't turn out to be a Good Samaritan.

VIENNA, VA—Often when we lose a personal item like a credit card, some kind stranger will return it or take it to a lost-and-found. That wasn't the case recently in Vienna.

Vienna Police report a woman dropped her credit card after paying for a prescription at CVS Pharmacy (337 Maple Avenue, East) around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday. An unknown man picked up the card and made several purchases at CVS and other locations.

The CVS manager was able to provide a description, and police continue to investigate.
