Resident Thwarts Burglary At Vienna Area Home
A resident caught two burglars trying to break into her home near Vienna.

VIENNA, VA—A resident caught two burglars trying to break into her Vienna area home Friday.
Around 3 p.m., the resident at the 2100 block of Amber Meadows Drive heard a knock on the door. No one was there when she answered. Not long after, she heard continued banging around the back of the house.
The resident discovered the two suspects attempting to break into her basement door. She called police, but the suspects fled. One of the suspects are described as black, between 35 and 38 years old, 5 foot 10 to 6 foot, and weighing between 160 and 175 pounds. There is no description for the second suspect.

Nearby, cameras caught another burglary happening in McLean Sunday. At 4:15 a.m., cameras show an unknown suspect walking onto the property at the 8400 block of Portland Place . The person went into the open garage, went into a car and stole money.

The unknown suspect is described as wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, baseball cap, dark pants and possibly a mask. Police did not provide surveillance images of the suspect.
