Roaming Rooster's Fried Chicken Arrives In Tysons

Roaming Rooster, which started as a food truck and has expanded, is now offering its fried chicken in Tysons.

TYSONS, VA — Roaming Rooster, an expanding fried chicken concept based in DC, has opened a location in Tysons. The restaurant's fried chicken specialties are now available at 1500 Cornerside Boulevard.

The restaurant had a soft opening over the weekend of Nov. 6 and 7. A grand opening will be held on Saturday, Nov. 13. For now, hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Roaming Rooster serves free-range and Halal certified chicken. The concept started out as a food truck in 2015 before gaining traction and expanding. It now has four DC locations and one in Tysons.

Among the menu items are favorites like the Buffalo fried chicken sandwich or Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Diners can also opt for the classic fried chicken sandwich with vinaigrette slaw. Aside from sandwiches, fried chicken and coleslaw, wings and chicken tenders can be purchased at mild, medium or hot heat levels. Side options include fries and coleslaw.
