Roberto's Ristorante Italiano Open On Vienna's Church Street
Roberto Donna, who became known for the DC restaurant Galileo, returns to the restaurant scene with a new Vienna restaurant.

VIENNA, VA — Roberto's Ristorante Italiano is open on Church Street in Vienna at the former Red Galanga location.
Chef Roberto Donna and his wife Nancy announced the opening of Roberto's Ristorante Italiano on Feb. 9 at 144 Church Street NW. It replaces Red Galanga, which closed in late 2021. At the time, Red Galanga ownership told Patch in an email a restaurant serving Italian cuisine will open in its place.
That restaurant turned out to be from Donna, whose popular DC restaurant Galileo in the 1980s earned him a James Beard Award and other accolades, according to Eater DC. This is Donna's first concept since Galilio III, which closed in 2011 after the Washington Post covered legal battles involving back rent and employees seeking back pay.
