Sammy, the 20-Pound Tortoise, Goes Missing in Vienna
She's lived with her family for eight years and has been missing from their yard since Saturday.
A Vienna family is frantically searching for their lost tortoise. And this is not just a small turtle.
“She’s a South American Yellow Foot tortoise named Sammy,” says owner Kristin Parker, who lives on Ninovan Road SE in Vienna.
The tortoise is approximately 14-15 inches long, 8-9 inches wide, and weighs about 16-20 pounds.

The family lives on Ninovan Road SE near the intersection of Tapawingo, and back up to Shady Drive and Carole Court, in case you see people out and about searching for Sammy.
Parker has notified Vienna Animal Control as well as neighbors but Sammy has still not turned up.
