VIENNA, VA — Even with measures like elves in masks and social distancing, there's no stopping Santa from paying a visit to the Town of Vienna. The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department has announced the schedule for the 2021 Santa Runs.

The jolly man in red will pass through different areas of Vienna atop the 1946 Maxim fire engine. It's a special occasion for the volunteer fire department, as the fire engine has been in service for 75 years. A new ornament commemorating the Maxim fire engine and Santa Runs is now available for sale.

Like past years, Santa will be joined by his elves from the volunteer fire department. But due to COVID-19, candy canes won't be handed out. Elves will wear masks, and social distancing will be followed. Observers are welcome to come out and greet Santa and his helpers while maintaining social distancing.
