Save The Lodge Fundraiser Launched For Vienna Moose Lodge
Vienna Moose Lodge, a fraternal and service organization, is fundraising for building renovations so it can remain open.

VIENNA, VA — Vienna Moose Lodge, a fraternal organization that does community service work, launched a Save the Lodge fundraising campaign this week to help remain open and continue its mission.
The fundraiser seeks to fund maintenance and repairs to the lodge at 9616 Courthouse Road. One of the major repairs needed is a new HVAC system in the banquet hall that will cost $35,000. The organization says it made a temporary fix to the air conditioning, but it will fail soon. In addition, heat is not working.
"Without HVAC, we cannot generate rental income or hold large events," the organization shared on Facebook. "That alone will shut us down. Rental income and large events are our lifeline to fiscal stability."

Other maintenance items sought by Vienna Moose Lodge are tree maintenance, termite prevention, bathroom maintenance and renovations in the social quarters, repairs and upgrades to kitchen equipment, outdoor awning replacement, draft beer system replacement and installation, locker room remodeling and other general building renovations.
If the fundraiser meets its $50,000 goal, the lodge could pursue other optional projects, such as speaker enhancements in Banquet Hall, a new beer cooler for the bar, reconfiguration of the locker room, a secondary upstairs kitchen for the bar, ceiling fans in the social quarters, renovations of the flagpole area, front sign maintenance and more.

The organization is looking into grant or loan options from Moose International, but it must first demonstrate it is able to fundraise. As part of the fundraiser, Vienna Moose Lodge may plan matching gift opportunities, sponsorship invitations, fundraising events, recognition activities and more.
Vienna Moose Lodge dates back to 1958 when it became part of the Moose International Fraternity. The organization participates in local community service and holds dinners and other events for members. It also supports charitable organizations, including two Moose charities: Mooseheart for children needing a safe place to stay, and Moosehaven, a retirement experience for Moose members.
