See New 'Star Wars' Movie on Biggest IMAX Screen in Northern Virginia

Want to see the new Star Wars film in an awesome theater? You can see the new movie at the Smithsonian’s Airbus IMAX Theater starting Friday; the two shows scheduled Thursday, the day the film debuts, are sold out.
Tickets at the IMAX theater in Chantilly range from $15 to $12.50 there for “Star Wars 3D - VII The Force Awakens.” The film is a continuation of the saga created by George Lucas set 30 years after Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983).

The Airbus IMAX® Theater at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center is among the first theaters in the world to feature IMAX® new laser projection system. The dual 4k laser projection system with a 12 discrete channel sound system provides audiences with the sharpest, brightest, clearest, and most vivid digital images ever combined with a whole new level of immersive audio, says the Smithsonian Web site.
