Sewage Coming Out Of Drain: Vienna Restaurant Violations

VIENNA, VA — Fairfax County regularly conducts health inspections for local restaurants. The frequency of inspections on the type of food served and how it is prepared.

“In our experience, it is unrealistic to expect that a complex, full-service food operation can routinely avoid any violations,” states the Virginia Department of Health’s website.

Here are some of the violations from recent inspections in July and late June. Among the violations was sewage coming out of a drain at the Tysons Corner Center La Madeleine. The issue is being resolved after a follow-up inspection.

violations: employee did not wash hands after handling raw salmon, employee handling food without gloves, warm hummus, chorizo, egg whites, prep cooler not operating properly

Moby Dick House of Kabob: 1500 Cornerside BV Suite F, Vienna, VA 22182, last inspection: July 5

violations: employee did not wash hands between tasks that could contaminate food, handling raw and ready-to eat foods without changing gloves (both corrected)
