Simple Solutions with Northwood Construction

"You can hire people who may do these jobs for less money, but you can't hire people who would do it for better quality..."

Priscilla Weck knew she wanted to renovate the basement in her 1950s home—the paneling made it too dark and gloomy—but she also knew she didn’t want to spend a fortune on a panel removal that would be time-consuming and disruptive. She met with contractor after contractor and was continuously met with disappointment.

Eventually, she called Northwood Construction and the simple solution she’d been looking for finally seemed possible. Northwood devised a budget-friendly plan that involved filling in the paneling grooves and painting the walls a light, bright color. It was quick, it was affordable, and Priscilla was sold.

With how quick and easy the solution for her basement woes was, Priscilla couldn’t help but think: what else around her home needed an upgrade? Next, she hired Northwood to do a kitchen update and remodeling. Then she brought them back a third time to tackle two bathroom remodels. After that, it was time to think big: Priscilla hired Northwood yet again to add an addition onto the back of her home.

“You can hire people who may do these jobs for less money, but you can’t hire people who would do it for better quality,” she says. “I really value them, not only for the work they do, but also the care that they take and the attention [they give a project].”

Four projects later and Priscilla couldn’t be happier with the result. “I know now that if I have a real problem with something and I call Bob, he will fix it,” she says. “He just has really good customer service.”
