Update: Police said a woman was stabbed in the neck on a walking path near the Vienna/Fairfax Metro.

VIENNA, VA—Police are investigating a stabbing near the Vienna/Fairfax Metro Thursday morning before 8 a.m. The incident occurred on a path near Vaden and Sprague Avenue, just south of the Metro station.
Police say a man approached a 21-year-old woman from on a walking trail and stabbed her in the neck. The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries and is in the hospital.
The suspect is still on the loose, and police say the search is ongoing. He is described as having light to a medium brown skin color, about 5 foot 7 and wearing a black hooded shirt.
