Stolen Credit Card Used After Car Window Smashing In Vienna
The latest car break-in report involved a vandal smashing a car window and stealing a purse, police say.

VIENNA, VA—Vienna Police have taken numerous reports of people breaking into unlocked cars in past weeks. This time around, a vandal smashed a car window to get into a car Saturday, Nov. 17.
The break-in was reported around 4:51 p.m in the 700 block of Courthouse Road SW. A resident reports the unknown suspect smashed the driver's side window and took his wife's purse. A credit card from the purse was later used for two purchases at Fairfax County stores.
Police remind residents to keep cars locked and keep valuables out of sight.

Crash - Maple Avenue near Glyndon Street, SE 18-009323
November 10 9:47 a.m.
Vehicle-2 and Vehicle-3 were traveling in the same lane, eastbound on Maple Avenue and came to a stop with traffic. Vehicle-1 was behind the first two vehicles and rear-ended Vehicle-2, sending it into Vehicle 3.
Driver-1 and Driver-2 were both transported by rescue personnel to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Driver-1 was issued a summons charging Following Too Closely.

Between November 15 at 10:00 p.m. and November 16 at 7:30 a.m.
An unknown person broke the front glass door of the business.
Arrest – Drunk In Public 18-009523
300 Block Maple Avenue, West
November 18 1:27 a.m.
A woman called the police regarding a dispute she was having with her boyfriend. It was determined the two had been drinking and began arguing while they were in the Amphora Restaurant. The woman then left the restaurant with her boyfriend following her. Upon the officer’s interaction with the couple, it was determined the woman was intoxicated. The couple was going to call for a ride home. However, the woman began walking out into on-coming traffic.
Ofc. Wallace arrested the 26-year-old woman from Gingerwood Court in Vienna. She was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where she was charged with Drunk In Public.
Arrest – Noise Violation 18-009520
The Bey Lounge
303 Mill Street, NE
November 18 12:15 a.m.
Officers responded to a complaint of loud music. Ofc. Williams determined the music was coming from The Bey Lounge.
Ofc. Williams charged the 33-year-old man, from Dry River Court in Reston, Virginia, with Excessive Noise at Night. The man was released on a summons.
