VIENNA, VA — Spring is an ideal time to get outside, admire the blooming flowers and enjoy Vienna's various events.

There are various ways to celebrate the season in and around town, from the popular Walk on the Hill and ViVa! Vienna! to Easter egg hunts. Town of Vienna Family Flashlight Egg Hunt: Friday, March 31, 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. (sold out)

Location: Glyndon Park, 300 Glyndon St., NE, Vienna, VA

The town's Easter event includes games and music before an egg hunt, plus pictures with the Easter Bunny. The event is sold out.

Spring Egg Hunt at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens: April 1 to 9

Location: 9750 Meadowlark Gardens Ct., Vienna, VA

Wander around Meadowlark Botanical Gardens to find 12 jumbo eggs during this self-guided Easter egg hunt. Buy an Egg Hunt Fun Find Sheet at the admission desk and draw the pattern on each egg that you find along the Bunny Trail. Show your completed sheet to get an "EGGcellent prize." The cost is $8 per participant which includes garden admission.

Town Cleanup Day: Saturday, April 1, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Location: 144 Maple Ave E, Vienna, VA

Get outside and volunteer for this town cleanup event held twice per year. Volunteers meet at the Town Green and are assigned a location needing cleanup. The town's park and recreation department provides supplies and assistance. Pre-registration via email is encouraged.

Taste of Vienna: Saturday, April 29, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Location: Vienna Volunteer Fire Department, 400 Center St. S, Vienna, VA

The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department's Taste of Vienna returns for a 10th year. The volunteer fire department's back parking lot will have restaurant vendors offering tastes, a beer and wine tent, stage with live performances, and children's activities. Admission is free, but food and drinks have a cost.

Walk on the Hill: Sunday, April 30, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Location: Windover Heights Historic District, Vienna, VA

This annual event held since 1974 is dubbed Vienna's prettiest event. Visitors take self-guided tours through about 50 participating yards and gardens in Vienna's historic Windover Heights neighborhood. The event includes live entertainment, exhibits and refreshments.

Vienna Farmers Market opens: Saturday, May 6 and Saturdays through Oct. 28, 8 a.m. to noon

Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St. SE, Vienna, VA

The Optimist Club of Vienna runs this farmers market with local produce and homemade foods. Check back for information on 2023 vendors.

Wine at Wolf Trap: Wednesday, May 10

Location: The Barns, 1635 Trap Road Vienna, VA

This fundraiser to support Wolf Trap's arts and education program features a gourmet multi-course dinner and wine pairings by Chef Matt Baker of Michelin star Gravitas and Sommelier Lindsey Fern of The Inn at Little Washington.

ViVa! Vienna!: Saturday, May 27 to Monday, May 29

Location: Downtown Vienna, VA

This Memorial Day weekend festival is Vienna's biggest event of the year. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Vienna, it offers rides, food vendors, live entertainment and more. Stay tuned for more information as the event gets closer.
