Taxi Driver Assaulted After Pickup From Vienna Metro: Police
The passenger fled after punching the taxi driver during a ride from the Vienna Metro Station.

VIENNA, VA—Police say an unknown man assaulted a taxi driver during a pickup from the Vienna Metro station Sunday.
The assault happened around 10:30 p.m. on Nutley Street. During the ride, the passenger became angry and demanded the driver pull over. At that time, he reportedly punched the driver and fled eastbound on Kingsley Road.
Police were not able to find the suspect during an immediate search of the area. There is no clear description of the suspect available.

Between July 18 at 9:00 p.m. and July 19 at 7:00 a.m.
An employee with Michael’s Lawn Service reported that someone cut the fence to the secured
storage lot at Ray’s Auto Body and stole lawn equipment from one of their vehicles parked in the
lot.

July 22 6:32 p.m.
Officers responded to the report of a driver repeatedly striking a parked vehicle and attempting to
leave the scene. Arriving officers found the woman driver and her male passenger putting their
clothes on before exiting the vehicle. Upon the officers’ interaction with both the driver and
passenger they detected signs of impairment.
The driver failed to complete a series of field sobriety tests. Ofc Rohr arrested a 30-year-old
woman from Cedar Lane, SE in Vienna. She was transported to the Fairfax County Adult
Detention Center where she was given the opportunity to provide a sample of her breath for
analysis. She was then charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Hit & Run, and held on a $2000
secured bond.
MPO Shaw arrested the 36-year-old man from Nititz Road in Kensington, Maryland. He was
transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Drunk In
Public.
