Teen Dies After Vehicle Strikes Tree In Oakton Area
Police say one teen died and four others were injured in the crash.
OAKTON, VA — One teenager died and four others were injured when their vehicle struck a tree in the Oakton area Sunday, Nov. 3.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. near the Stuart Mill Road and Coulter Lane intersection. Investigations found the driver was heading east in a 2010 Kia Forte, went off the right shoulder and struck a tree.
The five teens in the vehicle were taken to the hospital, where one was pronounced dead. The driver has life-threatening injuries, and the others have non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim's age is not being released due to age.
Police do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved but are investigating if speed was a factor. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crash Reconstruction Unit at 703-280-0543 or submit a tip through Crime Solvers.
