Things To Do In Vienna On Super Bowl Weekend

Looking for things to do that don't involve watching the Patriots and Eagles? There are plenty of events throughout the weekend.

VIENNA, VA—Maybe watching the Super Bowl isn't your thing, or you want something to do before the big game starts. Either way, you'll be looking for events to pass the time.

Even though the Super Bowl will dominate Sunday, there's still a variety of events to look forward to around Vienna this weekend.

Here are five events to check out in the area:

1. Vienna Casino Night

Feb. 3, 7 p.m.-11 p.m., Westwood Country Club 800 Maple Ave. East, Vienna

Enjoy a night of gambling with friends as the Rotary Club of Vienna presents Casino Night. Over 10 local restaurants such as Bazins, Clarity and Seasons 52 will be sampling their delicious food so bring your appetite along with Lady Luck.

2. Chocolate Lovers Festival in Fairfax

Feb. 2-4, various locations in City of Fairfax

One of the most delicious events of the year is happening all weekend. From a chocolate chip pancake breakfast, to the Chocolate Challenge and the Taste of Chocolate, you can eat your way through downtown Fairfax at the Chocolate Lovers Festival.

3. History of Wolf Trap Tour

Feb. 4 1 p.m.-3 p.m., Wolf Trap, 1551 Trap Road, Vienna

Join Ken Bigley, Deputy Superintendent, Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, for a free presentation on the history of Wolf Trap, Mrs. Shouse and a walking tour of the historic buildings at the Park. Lecture begins at 1 p.m. Meet at 12:45 p.m. at the Filene Center Box Office where Friends of Wolf Trap will direct you to the presentation. Please dress appropriately for the weather and for the walking tour outside on the grass and on uneven surfaces.

4. Last Performances of Relationships by Vienna Theatre Company

Feb. 2-3, 8 p.m., Feb. 4, 2 p.m., Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St., Vienna

The 2018 series of one-act plays concludes its run this weekend. Eclectic Essentials...Relationships will be performed at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, February 2-3, as well as 2 p.m. Sunday, February 4. 5. New York Festival of Song: Bernstein at 100

Feb. 2, 7:30 p.m. The Barns At Wolf Trap, 1635 Trap Road, Vienna

Pianist Steven Blier returns with pianist & colleague Michael Barrett and a quartet of singers to celebrate the legacy of Leonard Bernstein in a program built around Arias and Barcarolles.
