Town of Vienna Hosting Cultural Heritage Scavenger Hunt for 125th Birthday
The scavenger hunt is intended to link residents to historic yet overlooked areas of town, and prizes will be awarded to the winners in Oct.

The town of Vienna is encouraging its residents and visitors to get in touch with its roots this summer in honor of the town’s 125th birthday.
With that in mind, the town government has introduced a town-wide, summer-long Cultural Heritage Scavenger Hunt, aimed to connect residents with historic yet sometimes overlooked areas of the town.
The scavenger hunt, which costs nothing to enter and requires no registration, is framed in a way that encourages participants to seek out historical artifacts or information at businesses throughout the city.

Upon making a historical discovery, the participant is then to fill out one of his or her scavenger hunt forms (found here), including the business visited, the person spoken to, the fact or artifact discovered and new information learned.
“We would like to encourage you to get to know our local businesses and the people who work here, and to visit stores that have been here for a long time but that are not part of your regular shopping route,” the town said via its Facebook account.
