Traffic Advisory: 1,000 Motorcyclists Passing Through Northern Virginia
Expect rolling road closures Friday afternoon. Annual 9/11 memorial ride is passing through Loudoun and Arlington counties today.

The Virginia State Police said Friday to expect about 1,000 motorcycles to head eastbound on I-66 between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. via the Dulles Toll Road before continuing southbound on Route 110 and arriving at the Double Tree hotel in Pentagon City (300 Army Navy Drive) by 3:15 p.m.
The convoy of cyclists is part of a 9/11 memorial ride, prior to 9/11.
Arlington County Police, with the assistance of the Virginia State Police, will implement rolling road closures to ensure safe passage of the convoy.
Motorists should expect significant traffic delays during this time and attempt to seek alternate routes.
