Trespasser Attacks Police Officer In Vienna

Vienna Police arrived on scene of a trespasser on private property only to be attacked by the suspect.

VIENNA, VA—A late night trespassing on private property escalated into an assault in Vienna last week.

Around 11:25 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27, police say a resident reported the trespassing in the 400 Block of Yeonas Drive SW. An officer was investigating the case was interviewing a suspect when he was suddenly assaulted by the suspect.

Police arrested the man, 54, of Vienna and took him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He is charged with Assault on a law enforcement officer, trespassing and destruction of Property. The suspect was held without bond before seeing a judge.

A teen reported an ongoing bulling situation by other school peers.

Arrest – Hit and Run – 17-9662
Maple Avenue West / Nutley Street
October 27 9:52 p.m.

During the investigation of a hit and run accident. A 30-year-old man from N Thomas Street in
Arlington, VA was arrested. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. A
warrant for felony Hit and Run was issued and served. The man was remanded to the custody of
the Fairfax County Deputies.

Hit and Run with injuries 17-9662

Maple Avenue West / Nutley Street
October 27 9:00 p.m.

Vehicle-2 was stopped in the right west bound lane on Maple Avenue West, prior to the
intersection with Nutley Street. Vehicle-1 crashed into the rear of Vehicle-2. Vehicle-1 left the
scene of the accident. The driver returned later, parking his vehicle on Nutley Street N. The
driver of Vehicle-2 was transported to the hospital due to neck pain. The driver of Vehicle-1 was
at fault.

Arrest – Driving While Intoxicated - 17-9699

Nutley Street NW / Marshall Road SW
October 29 2:22 a.m.

During a traffic stop Officer B. Reedy detected the odor of alcoholic beverage on the breath of
the driver. After the driver failed a series of sobriety tests he was placed under arrest. The 20-
year-old man from Cedar Lane SE was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult
Detention Center. A warrant for DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) was issued and served. The
man was remanded to the custody of the Fairfax County Deputies.
