Two New Restaurants Coming to Old Wu's Garden Spot
Popular eatery closed late last year after 39 years in Vienna.

Last year Vienna saw a popular restaurant, Wu’s Garden, close its doors after operating for 39 years at 418 Maple Ave. E.
This week comes word from the Town of Vienna that two restaurants have submitted permit applications to operate at the location. The restaurants are Potbelly Sandwich Shop and Zoës Kitchen. The Town of Vienna notes that the location will be occupied by four tenants and that two permits at the location are still available. No word on the opening dates for the restaurants.
Potbelly Sandwich Shop was established in 1977 in Chicago at an antiques store, according to its Web site. Today there are more than 280 Potbelly Sandwich Shops around the country. There are at least 20 locations in Northern Virginia. The Potbelly menu includes made-to-order sandwiches, salads, soups, chili, milkshakes and baked goods. Some of the stores are also open for breakfast.
