Update: Medical Examiner Confirms Vienna Man Died in Homicide
The victim was determined to have sustained upper-body trauma due to a gunshot wound.

The death of 33-year-old Vienna resident Eric John Larocque on the evening of July 31 was originally investigated as a homicide after it was reported the victim died from upper-body trauma resulting from a gunshot wound.
However, a cause of death could not be officially confirmed until the body was examined by the Office of the State Medical Examiner, which reported Monday that homicide was indeed ruled the cause of death.
Fairfax County Police confirmed there is no apparent threat to the public and that the homicide did not appear to be a random act.
