'Upscale' ABC Store Opens on Leesburg Pike in Tysons
The store features the "elite Remy Martin Louis XIII cognac and The Macallan 25-Year Scotch," each of which sells for more than $1,000.

A new liquor store has opened in Tysons and the store is in keeping with its nearby neighbors Tiffany, Gucci ad Hermes of Paris.
For its 350th store opening, the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) is highlighting signature spirits and top-shelf products, according to a news release from ABC.
On Wednesday, Virginia ABC hosted a grand opening celebration for its newest store located in the Tysons Corner area of Vienna at 8150 Leesburg Pike.

The 1,000-square-foot location carries mainly category-leading signature spirits in only the 750 milliliter size. The store also has more than 45 special order items on the shelves, including the elite Remy Martin Louis XIII cognac and The Macallan 25-Year Scotch, each of which sells for more than $1,000. Virginia ABC tailored the store’s 707 product inventory to match the needs of discerning customers and upscale licensees in the Tysons Corner area.
Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security Brian Moran attended the grand opening event. He congratulated Virginia ABC on reaching the 350th store milestone during the agency’s 80th anniversary year.

Sen. Janet Howell (D-Reston), Delegate Marcus Simon (D-Falls Church) and Delegate Mark Keam (D-Vienna) were also present for the ribbon cutting.
“In February 2005, Virginia ABC celebrated the opening of its 300th store in Fairfax’s Fair Lakes Shopping Center,” Virginia ABC Chairman Jeff Painter said during his remarks at the Tysons Corner event. “During the past nine and a half years, we have responded to customers’ requests for more convenience by opening five to six stores a year in strategic locations throughout the commonwealth. Our agency is proud that this 350th store offers Northern Virginia residents a signature shopping experience and an opportunity to purchase a special gift or unique addition for their home bar selection.”
The Tysons Corner store employs six people. Store hours are 10 a.m.− 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1− 6 p.m. Sunday.
